LÎÒ #17010. Medal "For Defense of Sevastopol " 1854-55 years. Parameter: St. Petersburg Mint, silver, weight - 13.5 gr., diameter - 28 mm., condition - satisfactory.
Established November 26, 1855 Medal awarded to the participating 13 September 1854 on 27 August 1855 in the protection of Sevastopol:
a). the generals, staff and chief officers, combatant and noncombatant lower ranks that formed the Sevastopol garrison and is on the north side of town and the batteries on this side;
b). all persons who arrived in Sevastopol is temporarily on business;
c). the civil officials of all departments that were in the city during the siege for the service;
d). the residents of Sebastopol, participated in the defense of the city;
e). Women working in hospitals or were particularly services in the defense of Sevastopol. The decree of December 5, 1855, these rules were extended to officials of the Maritime Office. By a decree dated 16 March 1856 the right to award the medal were the servants (including fortified) officers who were on the southern side of Sevastopol and participated in the defense of the city.

Parameters: St. Petersburg Mint, silver, weight - 12.2 gr., diameter - 27.9 mm., Cond. - Very Good.
Established by Imperial decree of Emperor Nicholas II's February 26, 1896 "In memory of the unforgettable King of the Peacemaker in the 51 th anniversary of his birth ..." The Medal was issued as a reward, "the bishops priests, generals, staff and senior officers and class ranks of all ... agencies, which consisted in active service in the reign of Emperor Alexander III.
Later, an additional decree was granted the right parameters to obtain the medal of women engaged in various departments of the offices. Wore a medal on his chest, the tape of the Order of St.. Alexander Nevsky.
