Obverse: on top of the coat of arms of the USSR with 15 coils of tape, to the left of it the letters "SS", on the right "SR", below the double line, under it the denomination of the coin is "1" and below the word "RUBLE".
Reverse: in the center there is an image of the emblem of the Games of the XXII Olympiad in Moscow, under it is the date "1977", denoting the year of coinage. On the circumference there is the inscription "GAMES XXII OLYMPIADS - MOSCOW - 1980".
