P.S. The Alexander Order Ribbon for the Tsar's Awards is a red ribbon that was presented to the gentlemen with an insignia. In the Russian Empire, it became widespread only in 1856 in connection with the development of state heraldry. As a rule, the Alexander ribbon was used in the arms of the city administrations, regions and district towns. The ribbon was used to wear the Order of St. Alexander Nevsky. In industrial cities, it was used with a pair of gold mallets, where they were engaged in agriculture - with a pair of spikelets, while in coastal cities they used a pair of gold anchors. Accordingly, everywhere with a ribbon the main economic components of the city were present on the arms.
The Order of St. Alexander Nevsky was conceived to be rewarded for military services to the state. Thus, the Alexander ribbon could be seen on high-ranking military personnel.
