P.S. The Vladimir Order Ribbon is an additional badge handed along with the imperial order of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir. This award was presented at once in four degrees and was intended both for civil merit and for military exploits.
The Vladimir Order Ribbon was established together with the Order in 1782 in honor of Vladimir the Baptist, and until 1917 it was intended for middle-ranking officials and military men with a rank not lower than Lieutenant Colonel. The founder of the order is Catherine II, who decided to establish an insignia in honor of the 20th anniversary of her tenure. The award ribbon is a piece of fabric divided into three equal stripes - two black and one red, between them.
