Bashlyk lower rank RIA, arr.-1862 y. Material: Camel wool. Color: light brown.Comp .: Good, but time has left its tracks: darn, moth, etc. Also there are embroidered initials by the previous owner. In general, very vigorous and usable !!!
P.S. Bashlyk (Tatar - headboard) or (Türk.- headgear) - pointed cloth hood, worn in bad weather over any headgear to protect from cold, rain and heat of the sun. He was introduced to the Russian troops in 1862 and during the war of 1877–78. It turned out to be so expedient that it began to be tested in Western Europe. So, in 1881, the entire detachment of French troops, sent to Tunisia, was equipped with hoods.
